I've had the pleasure of chairing the Cannes Airlines Forum since the 1st Meeting (November 1992). The audience has grown continuously ever since. Last year, we had 250 participants, and each year, there's an increasing number of people from faraway countries. It gives me great satisfaction to chair a meeting of this quality. This year, the situation of the global air transport industry will be discussed and you will be able to express all your viewpoints during debates that have opened to a positive dialogue. 

 12 years already, and what a success! However, let us not forget that the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. As we continue with the forums, with APG, work has become a pleasure. We have teams of professionals on both sides who have really get along with a mutual respect for each other, and who every year, wish to go a little further or rather, a little higher. But it is also because we have so many things in common: the customer of course, service, discipline, tradition, a vision that has no frontiers and, most important, the desire to work well. See you soon at the Carlton ... 

 What I think about the Cannes Airlines Forum: Intelligence and Friendliness. The quality of the participants is always assured, and perfectly relayed by the master chefs. The combination of these two factors makes this event a real occasion, whose highlight is probably reached when the Mr Lapautre gives his summaries, always surprising and insightful. In one sentence, I'll sum up the Cannes Airlines Forum as a real moment of total pleasure 

 Because of the number and quality of its participants, the Cannes Airlines Forum is now the unmissable date for all those who work directly and indirectly in the Air transport industry. Each year, the themes chosen and the rich debates make it possible to understand the strong points as well as the weaknesses and contradictions of the sector. it is unquestionably the occasion to increase professional contacts in a pleasant atmosphere and through the impeccable but warm organisation 

 The CAF? It s certainly the highlight of the aeronautic year: one of the most professional but friendly meetings of the sector, where we can talk simply with top personalities of the air transport industry. For us journalists, the CAF is an important moment of reflection and exchange. A definitely unmissable event. 

  I'm a rather atypical participant of the CAF !
1/ Atypical in the sense of strange because I'm practically the only person from the Confederation of Travel Agents attending this event.
2/ Atypical in the sense of curious because, every year, I learn a lot about the problems of the air transport industry, about the changing trends of airlines and the use of their distribution channels in the future. It is an interesting date for us travel agents. 

 After attending the 12th Cannes Airlines Forum, I wish to thank you all and congratulate you on the success of this event, which increases with each year. The quality of the speakers and participants, high-flying professionals, the organisation, perfect in all aspects, which encourages friendly and extremely worthwhile contacts are the reasons for this success. I was at the first Premier Cannes Airlines Forum, and so I can measure the long way that it has come to reach this level of quality that makes the CAF a world-renowned conference that honours the organisers and France.
